Susan Gates, Partner

Susan is a founding partner of Mind Over Media. She has worked in the publishing and media industries for over 25 years. After working in New York at GEO, New York magazine, Newsweek and Smithsonian, she moved to Los Angeles where she was founding publisher of Buzz, the award-winning monthly magazine.  

Susan has deep cross-discipline expertise on the editorial, marketing and financial sides of the business. She has played primary roles in launching and repositioning numerous magazines, including Traveler, Spy, and Yoga Journal and has provided strategic and marketing expertise to such publishers as Harvard Business School Publishing, National Geographic, The New York Times and American Media Inc. Susan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Colorado and holds an MS in Journalism from Columbia University in New York.
